Engagement is Sweet
Being engaged is so sweet, I don’t ever want to get married! Well, I’m kidding, but not really. Being engaged to this woman truly is the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me! It’s an insane feeling. I’ve always heard that being married or engaged doesn’t feel any different, but that’s totally not the case. This feels different. It feels… real and wholesome and pure and good! I want to climb to the tallest building in the city and scream to the heavens and the crowds below that I am the happiest man alive. Cause it’d be true. It totally would.
Now, wedding planning? Not so much fun. But she loves doing it, and I’m the obliging boyfriend who comes along for the ride and nods or shakes his head (much less often). I like it. She likes me.
Things are peachy. I won’t need to run another background check for the rest of my life, and that makes me happy. I love the ability to find people, but I don’t think I’ll need to do it much anymore. Now I can focus my attention on stuff like To Unnecessary Male Nudity in the Locker Room.
